1. Use Cross Ventilation

When you open a window, only a small amount of air is removed from the room, but allow a different entry and exit point for the air, for example two windows or a window and a roof light and this effect is dramatically increased, removing much of the stale, particle filled air and improving indoor air quality.

2. Add Plants

House plants work in the home in a similar way to how trees and larger plants do in the wider environment, improving air quality by removing harmful particles. Top of the rankings when it comes to air cleaning effectiveness is the peace lily, and what’s more they’re very easy to care for too. Great if green fingers don’t come naturally!

3. Don’t Smoke Indoors

4. Cool It With The Candles

Candle light can be pretty, but burning them regularly in your home will increase your indoor pollutants. If you can’t resist than candlelit dinner or bath, be sure to ventilate the room well afterwards to improve indoor air quality.

5. Ventilate Well After Cooking Or Bathing

Of course, you need to do both, that goes without saying! But you can steal a march on improving air quality by ventilating the room well after you have.
